Arizona Spas: Part II

Here are a couple more of the Phoenix metro area’s best spas:

The award-winning Spa at Camelback Inn (480-596-7040) is consistently voted one of the best in Phoenix and has been ranked as among the finest in the world. The 32,000-square-foot facility features 32 treatment rooms, a fitness studio, an Olympic-sized lap pool, and Sprouts, the spa restaurant.

The pool at Four Seasons

Nestled in the desert around Pinnacle Peak Mountain, the Four Seasons Spa (480-515-5700) sits high above the Valley and offers stunning views of the Sonoran Desert. The full-service facility incorporates elements of the four seasons and Native American traditions to bring you a variety of skin and body treatments, scrubs, wraps, facials, and massages.

The Alvadora Spa (602-977-6400) at the Royal Palms is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Tucked in the lush folds of the Royal Palms Resort at the base of Camelback Mountain, this two-level open-air space features nine treatment rooms and incorporates the plants, oils, and minerals of the Mediterranean region. The spa offers day packages as well as individual services.

The Arizona Biltmore Spa (602-381-7632 or 800-950-0086) combines the practices of medieval China and Native Americans of the Sonoran Desert to bring a variety of services and body treatments to its guests. The 22,000-square-foot facility includes several outdoor retreat areas and a cascading whirlpool; men’s and women’s private locker rooms have amenities such as a dry sauna, wet steam, Jacuzzi whirlpool, and power shower. In your locker you will find a robe, slippers, and a towel for your stay. The spa’s signature treatment—the Dream Catcher—is a Native American–inspired massage that incorporates essential oils and heated stones strategically placed along your spine while you receive a delightful foot massage.
